His research group recently had a new paper not only published, but also on the cover of the journal\u00a0\u2018Molecular Biology and Evolution\u2019 about the variability of mitoribosomes.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;font-family: Calibri\">Mitochondrial ribosomes are known to be highly variable across species, but the molecular basis for this phenomenon was not known. The analysis\u00a0published in\u00a0Molecular Biology and Evolution\u00a0uncover a fundamental evolutionary mechanism that drives the increasing diversity.
