This year’s industrial doctoral projects involve, among other things, developing environmentally friendly, smart patches for continuous remote monitoring of patients, developing cell-based therapy with hydrogel to be used in cartilage damage caused by osteoarthritis or trauma, and replacing the toxic and fossil-based solvent hexane with supercritical carbon dioxide (scCO2) in food and feed applications and in the production of vegetable oils.<\/p>\n

The program has been advertised annually since 2014, which has now resulted in roughly 120 doctoral students.<\/p>\n

The aim of the program is to contribute to excellent research in SSF\u00b4s areas: natural science, technology and medicine. The research shall promote cross-fertilization between academia and industry and contribute to the education of doctoral students in areas that are strategically relevant and strengthening to Sweden’s competitiveness.<\/p>\n

The projects will start in the spring of 2024.<\/p>\n
