The Foundation for Strategic Research, SSF, finances the salary costs for people who, for a period, want to move between industry\/business\/authority\/hospital and academia\/research institute.<\/p>\n
SSF’s mission is to finance research of the highest quality that contributes to Sweden’s competitiveness and at the same time promote mobility both internationally, nationally and between universities, institutes and companies.<\/p>\n
SSF has therefore set aside SEK 10 million for the investment in strategic mobility over a two-year period. Each grant within the program covers the salary of a researcher or equivalent person during a four to twelve month exchange service in a sector other than the one in which the person is active. During the stay, the guest researcher must conduct strategic research within one of the foundation’s areas which are natural science, technology and medicine.<\/p>\n
Mobility within Sweden is prioritized, but the exchange can also take place with a home organization\/host in another country if the connection to Sweden is strong enough from a strategic Swedish perspective.<\/p>\n
The purpose of the program is to increase personal mobility, knowledge transfer and cross-fertilization between sectors.<\/p>\n
