Many applicants for “Research collaborations with Taiwan”

As many as 49 applications were submitted for the framework grant “Research collaboration with Taiwan”. Three of these will each receive a grant of 10 million SEK over a period of five to six years.

The call is intended to stimulate bilateral, collaborative interdisciplinary research of the highest international quality in the fields of natural science, engineering or medicine with the goal to improve society. SSF has for several years established bilateral cooperation with Japan and South Korea. To strengthen Sweden’s position further in a dynamic region, it is strategically important to promote research exchange with Taiwan as well.

The evaluation process is expected to be completed by the summer of 2020.
