They receive an SSF grant to write the EU application in 2025!
SSF supports Swedish researchers in their work to apply for grants within the Horizon Europe (HEU) programme, the EU’s framework programme for research and innovation. Out of a total of 17 applications, 7 were granted, amounting to nearly 2.7 million SEK.
The support can be used by Swedish researchers in natural sciences, technology or medicine at Swedish universities or research institutes who apply for the role of project coordinator for HEU Pillar 2 projects (Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness) in 2025.
SSF’s ambition is to increase the participation of Swedish researchers in the EU’s Horizon Europe research programme. Calls similar to this one have been held annually since HEU started in 2021. In total, SSF has granted 46 projects, including this year’s initiative. The ambition is to continue with annual calls for proposals as long as Horizon Europe is running. A new call is planned to open as early as December 2025, please follow SSF’s website for more information later.
