Grant recipients of Strategic Mobility 2025

The SSF Strategic Mobility program gives researchers the opportunity to change workplaces from academia/research institutes to industry/government/hospitals, or vice versa, for one to two years. The 2025 grants have now been awarded.

Ten million SEK is being distributed among an equal number of projects. The goal of the program is to increase knowledge transfer and cross-fertilization between different sectors and to give researchers the opportunity to develop in a new environment.

This year’s projects cover everything from accelerating the breeding process for high-yielding, climate-resistant and nutrient-rich red clover varieties, to evaluating PFAS leaching from landfills and investigating new methods for safely recycling critical metals from PFAS-containing materials, to developing new methods for finding biomarkers for earlier detection of type 1 diabetes.
