Summary
Microelectronic components tend to be minimised, which means there is a need for components on a nanometer scale, and traditional manufacturing methods do not work here. Fullerenes and nanotubes, which consist entirely of carbon, can become the semiconductor material of the future. In the programme, work will be carried out on the production, purification, characterisation and modification of nanostructures made of carbon and their combination into nanelectronic units.
