Summary
The main objective of this project is to improve the productivity in software engineering by integrating multiple disciplines, like requirements, verification & validation, configuration management etc. Methods for Integrated Software Engineering facilitate a more efficient way of developing software, avoiding douplication, inconsistencies etc, during development. As part of this project, the applicant will study current knowledge and research within software engineering including methods for measuring and evaluating research results. An evaluation of the current way of working at the applicant's company will be performed in order to identify relevant issues for research. Methods and techniques for integrated Software Engineering will be researched and developed, in particular integration between requirements and verification&validation, and requirements and configuration management will be investigated. The researched methods and techniques will be evaluated, documented and published. This project is expected to achieve advances into the research of Integrated Software Engineering that are relevant to the current and future challenges faced by companies that rely on software development, and that can improve their productivity.
Popular science description
