Summary

Our objective is to establish robust low-cost high-throughput workflows for molecular multimarker analysis that include cell and gene therapy drug targets, and quality control software. Project builds on the workflows already available at the Institute of Biomedicine at Gothenburg University, which will be complemented with assays for siRNAs and antisense oligomers (ASOs) and quality control. The latter will be based on quality metrics that we validate and implement in a software tool. Expected results are robust workflows for molecular analysis that will make a powerful platform for basic research that can be translated to clinical studies and to a tool for compound screening in drug development. A state-of-the-art service platform will be established at the University. Some of the solutions developed will be possible to protect and commercialize through licensing, while the quality control analysis will go into software products.

Popular science description
