SSF Call for Industrial PhD students 2023!
For the tenth year in a row, there is now the opportunity to apply for the SSF Industrial PhD grant! SEK 30 million is invested in research and postgraduate training for 12 industrial doctoral students. The aim of the call is to strengthen the collaboration between academia and industry. The grant runs during the education period for the doctoral students and must result in a doctoral degree.
The aim of the program is to contribute to excellent research in SSF´s prioritized areas : natural science, technology and medicine. The research must also promote cross-fertilization between academia and industry and contribute to the education of doctoral students in areas that are strategically relevant and strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness.
The initiative applies to people who have not yet been admitted to postgraduate studies. During the grant period, the doctoral student must conduct research and be at least 80 percent employed at a company, as well as have two supervisors, one at the university and one at the company. The institution must be Swedish.
The main applicant is the supervisor of the doctoral student at the University. Co-applicants are supervisors at the company. If the project involves clinical research, the company can be a hospital.
The deadline for applications is 23 May 2023 at 14:00.
