They receive SSF grant to write an EU application in 2023!
SSF supports Swedish researchers in the work of applying for grants within the Horizon Europe (HEU) program, the EU’s framework program for research and innovation. Out of a total of 17 applications, 8 requested amounts of a total of SEK 3.8 million were granted.
SSF’s support can be used by Swedish researchers who intend to be project coordinators for international collaborative projects within Horizon Europe Pillar 2 (Global Challenges and European Industrial Competitiveness) during 2023-2024. SSF only grants funds for work with applications to EU projects that are deemed to have great strategic relevance for Sweden.
The call is aimed at researchers in natural sciences, technology or medicine at Swedish universities or research institutes.
SSF’s ambition is to increase the participation of Swedish researchers in the EU’s research program Horizon Europe. Calls similar to this have so far been held in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The ambition is to continue with these annual calls throughout Horizon Europe. A new call is tentatively scheduled to open in November 2023, closing on March 1, 2024. However, changes to this may occur. SSF will provide more information on this later.
