From lab to reality – lignin from wood becomes glue and hair conditioner

A tree consists of 25 percent lignin. In paper production, it becomes a by-product that is burned. But the material has fantastic properties that can be used for a variety of products, something that Mika Sipponen and his research group at Stockholm University are exploring.
