Strategic Research Index (SRI)
SSF’s Strategic Research Index (SRI) is a data-driven methodology for clarifying and analyzing the work of Swedish universities in strategic research: research of high international quality that is also of importance to Swedish society and industry.
SRI is based solely on available data from UKÄ, Scopus and Patstat. This makes SRI clear, objective and repeatable. Qualitative assessments of research content, certain collaborations, etc. are not included because measurement data is missing here. SRI thus covers the important measurable part of the concept of “strategic research”.
