Summary

Centre for Combustion Science and Technology (CECOST) is a national research programme and graduate school on combustion processes and combustion technology. The programme includes theory, processes and methods and focuses on the combustion chamber. Four major subprogrammes are included: Soot Formation, Bio Fuels, Turbulent Combustion and Flame Spread. Industrial participants are involved in the selection and management of projects. The programme also works in collaboration with the competence centre Combustion Processes of the Swedish Energy Agency. The programme ends in this format in 2002. SSF has awarded a grant of SEK 8 M for a three-year extension of the graduate school.
