Summary
AME is a programme for crossdisciplinary research and graduate education. The research is aimed at developing the generic technology that is the basis of microsystems and is carried out in research groups in Materials Science, Semiconductor Electronics, Semiconductor Physics and Inorganic Chemistry. Applications are found in medicine, optics, space research and generic research of importance in the fields identified. The programme ended in this format in 2001. SSF has awarded a grant of SEK 8M for a three-year extension of the graduate school.
