Summary
The goals of the programme are to advance research in nucleic acids in Sweden, optimise the conditions for interdisciplinary collaboration among programme members, seek exchanges with relevant Swedish industries, and provide a tailored education for doctoral students accepted to the programme. The programme is focused on basic areas like the chemistry, structure, molecular function, physical properties and synthesis of nucleic acids as well as their interaction. Nucleic acid technologies have broad areas of application in both academic research and the biotechnology as well as the pharmaceutical industry (therapy, diagnostics).
