Summary
Research and graduate school with a focus on the different steps in the value added chain from tree to product, with an emphasis on advanced measurement methods, information technology and logistics systems as well as research on wood fibre as a construction material. Activities are concentrated on four thematic areas: Micro-macro Modelling (characterisation and measurement of wood), Wood Composition and Engineered Wood Products, Wood Moisture Interaction and Market-oriented Wood Products and Production Systems, a holistic approach.
