Summary

Tailored Photons is a spin-off company from the Laser Physics group at KTH, which was founded in December 2016 with the aim to commercialize the research results obtained in the frame of FFL09-0016. We produce and supply highly-efficient and cost-effective laser frequency conversion units (FCU) tailored for traditional and emerging photonics markets. Our products will enable boosting to the next level a broad range of laser applications: from bio-tech to environmental monitoring, material processing, aerospace and defense, secure key distribution, and quantum communications systems. Our proprietary production process has no-counterpart in the world and is based on unique know-how, obtained from years of research in the field of lasers and photonics at KTH. We have assessed the quality and validity of our products through extensive collaboration and sales-demand from international partners, both in industry and academia. The CEO of Tailored Photons in the PI of the SSF project and the CTO is a PhD that graduated in the frame of the SSF project. Since its foundation, Tailored Photons has been getting support from KTH Innovation, holds two Vinnova grants, it is now entering the STING incubator program, and getting investment from KTH Holding. At Tailored Photons, we have the ambition to be a profitable high-tech company contributing to Swedish industrial growth with worldwide partners and customers.
