The programme is focused on the design, synthesis, characterisation, processing and applications of oxide materials, in particular perovskites. These materials are interesting and have promising electric and magnetic properties, including dielectric, ferroelectric and magneto-resistant properties. The programme includes both basic materials research and research focused mainly on applications in such areas as high-frequency components, sensors and rapid digital circuits.
