The Product Development Academy promotes strategic initiatives to ensure continuous development of state-of-the-art technologies, competences and capabilities for product development. The collective impact of this effort is expected to significantly influence the way industry and society transforms the new knowledge and technologies into their practices. Therefore the initiative •"is a Swedish initiative coordinated with Nordic partners •"adopts a strategic and long term perspective •"is of a sufficient scale to impact true deployment on a broad scale •"represents state-of-the-art from a scientific point of view •"addresses both research, education and industrial challenges The Product Development Academy exists to coordinate research and educational programs in collaboration between academia, institutes, and industry, with the objective of enabling the transition of product development capabilities to meet future needs.
