Summary
In the project, new theoretical models of the diffusion process in solids on different physical levels – quantum mechanical, statistical, and non-equilibrium thermodynamics will be developed. Developed new theoretical models of the diffusion process in solids will be used for finding the solutions of kinetic diffusion equations in multicomponent systems (metals and alloys).
Popular science description
The Project’s contribution A. The project results will establish a novel diffusion solution in metals and steels and offer new physical and computational models of phase-structure transformation in advanced alloys. B. The research results will be open-access publications in reputable international journals and via participation in international conferences. "Purpose and Aims The goal of the project is the creation of new models of diffusion process and phase transformations in solids and their application to the solution of practical problems of Metal Physics and Materials science. To achieve this goal, the project will perform the following challenges: developed new theoretical models describing the diffusion process in solids on different physical levels – quantum mechanical, statistical, non-equilibrium thermodynamics; found the kinetic diffusion equations in multicomponent systems (metals and alloys) and development of physical and computational models of phase-structure transformation in advanced alloys, for example γ→α – transformation, H embrittlement, etc.; received decisions are compared with the experimental data.
