The body’s receptors for signals, GPCRs, are important for drug development

When the brain wants a cell to do something, it sends signals. It is the cell’s receivers, so-called GPCRs, that receive the signal. Erik Jansson and his researchers at Uppsala University are trying to understand how these molecules work, which can lead to new drugs for diseases such as Schizophrenia or Parkinson’s.
