They create images of phenomena no one has seen – of the body’s dimers

Proteins control most functions in the body and it is therefore important to understand how they work. Receptors are a specific type of protein and when they hook into each other, a dimer is formed – a hard-to-prove phenomenon that Linda Johansson and her research group at the University of Gothenburg now have succeeded in imaging.
